To our local customers:
In March of this year, the lease was coming to an end in our original Merrimon Avenue location. For the past 2 years, we have been planning the details of our new flagship store that was set to open in downtown Asheville this Spring. The new store was scheduled to open in March, and was pushed back a few months due to permitting and construction delays.
With all of the uncertainty that COVID-19 has presented, we have made the very difficult decision to pause our plans for the new store until we have a clearer picture of what the future holds.
We greatly value our local community, and we do not take this decision lightly. You have all been instrumental in our growth and are the reason we’re able to do what we love. Our goal is to make smart financial decisions that will prove fruitful for us in the future and allow us to not only weather this storm, but to serve our community for years to come.
We hope to bring pop-up shops & local delivery to our Asheville family to help us stay connected and allow you the opportunity to shop with us in a similar way as the retail store allowed. We’re offering $5 local shipping so you can continue to enjoy your favorite Poppy flavors without much added expense.
We couldn’t be more thankful for all the support we’ve received over the past 6 years and, especially, over the past 3 months. The orders you’ve placed, the notes we’ve received, the encouragement you’ve sent our way – it means everything to us.
